Combining different perspectives of our colonial heritage, the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra, like most European botanical gardens, harbours traces of a past that is still alive. For The Phantom of Liberty, this place acquires a symbolic dimension that seeks to speculate on other possible worlds while avoiding invasive interventions.
