"tomorrow, the day after tomorrow: words that, in 2013, I painted in a book co-published with PáreasParias. That year, I lived in Rennes for six months and, without intuition, let alone planning, I started two projects that would accompany me for the next ten years, amanhã [tomorrow] and cartas de amor [love letters]. amanhã is a transdisciplinary project that multiplies into artist's books, a set of paintings on paper (various sizes), a video animation and an installation that includes A2 posters distributed free of charge. Since the poster is a modest graphic object, but eminently political in nature, I demand tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. An admirer of Ernesto de Sousa and the Fluxus movement, for me too, all materials are noble, and I invite visitors to take ownership - in the literal sense - of the work. Anyone who likes it can take posters home with them. I exhibit and share a prayer, a mantra, a flow, a yearning for life. In 1974, we learnt as a community how to live in a democracy. In 2024, may we celebrate the civil and legal rights we have won, and may we reflect on how much remains to be done, a wish for the future, tomorrow." (Isabel Baraona).
