April posters are to be made in an April home with April people. Tipografia Damasceno, the venue for this workshop, is part of the country's history and the struggles waged by workers and artists, many of them typographers, who, in the fight for liberty, in defence of the working class and against fascism, carried out various resistance movements. For his militancy, João Damasceno, former owner of Tipografia Damasceno, was persecuted by the PIDE for saying no and daring to stand up to the authoritarian regime in defence of human freedom and dignity, and was imprisoned several times. Odete Paixão, married to João, one of the first women typographers in Portugal, worked at the till all her life and was persecuted for being the "wife of a communist".
