The Coro das Mulheres da Fábrica project was born in Élia Ramalho's Atelier, a multidisciplinary space open to different artistic manifestations and audiences—a group of women who sing feminist and freedom songs. Élia Ramalho will perform with movement and painting suggested by the words she sings. The paintings will be made on canvases suspended from the space's wooden beams. A set of neorealist images by the painter Júlio Pomar, the author investigated in Élia Ramalho's doctoral thesis, will be shown in the background. It will thus be an interdisciplinary presentation in which four artistic languages evoke freedom and struggle through art.
