Mensagem para você. The ancient practice known as palmistry is the ability to read the future and an individual's character traits through their hands. According to this principle, the lines on our hands indicate where we've been, our experiences and traumas, where we're going and what we're aiming for. The artist used handmade papier-mâché objects and light bulbs to produce this installation. Each hand is autonomous, totalling nine, and the whole piece is suspended from another element of the installation — a woven grid made from electrical cable covers. These hands freely create various gestures, representing an internal language and an attempt to communicate as much as the mouth (head) communicates.
