Guided tour, without prior appointment, about the context of Jeremy Deller's work.

At the invitation of Anozero'24, naturalist João Farminhão will give a guided tour together with the Biennale's mediation team, taking as his motto the six disappearing species mentioned in Jeremy Deller's work for Anozero'24. Farminhão will talk about the sixth mass extinction in progress and a very special ghost species, which we can find again or de-extinct in Portugal.

João Farminhão is a naturalist and researcher at the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra and the Functional Ecology Center of the TERRA Associated Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Biology from the Université libre de Bruxelles and is a phytotaxonomist with an interest in the Mediterranean and African floras. Since 2023, he has been president of the Portuguese Botanical Society.
