Francisca Carvalho (Coimbra, 1981) completed the Advanced Plastic Arts Course at Ar.Co in Lisbon in 2005, graduated in Philosophy from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa FCSH (2009), and holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Mount Royal School of Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) (2016). Her work is based on the handling of symbols, which translate into collages, drawings and textiles. Her exhibitions include the following: Às nonas, Midas nos dedos medram e mondam, Galeria Municipal de Almada (2021), Cosmic Tones, CIAJG, Guimarães (2021), Plano de Contingência, Galeria Cristina Guerra, Lisbon (2023), Ninguém. Só eu, Centro de Arte Oliva (2022), Farsa, Sesc Pompeia, São Paulo, Brazil (2021).
