The artist as a mediator of experiences
27 APR, 14:00–18:00
Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Nova
Calçada Santa Isabel«Cyril: […] Life imitates art, that Life in fact is the mirror, and Art the reality?»
The Decay of Lying (Oscar Wilde,Penguin Books, Great Ideas, 2020, p. 22).
This workshop aims to explore the place of the artist as a road (or bridge) between two points. Based on Oscar Wilde's quote that it is life that imitates art and not the other way round, we will explore, using the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova, how the artist can be a revealing agent and point to other ways of experiencing life.
